GA Mantsε’s Delegation Visits the College of Languages Education

The College of Languages Education, Ajumako, University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has received a delegation sent at the behest of the Ga Mantsε, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II to the College.

The delegation led by the Chief of Staff, Office of the Ga Mantsε, Chief Justice Julian Naa Yaa Sarkodie Mensah. was at the College to visit staff and students of the Department of Ga-Dangme Education. 

The mission of the Delegation was to encourage the teaching and learning of the two languages (Ga and Dangme) and to explore collaborations on how the two languages can be promoted from their learning to their teaching among schools in the Greater Accra Region. 

During the visit, the delegation donated some items to the Ga-Dangme students. The items donated were 500 pieces of exercise books, ten packs of face masks, 14 bags of 25kg rice, ten bags of Madar detergent, 20 packs of soft drinks, 140 pieces of T-roll, one box of sachet milo, a box of toffees (40 pieces), 11 boxes of biscuits, one box of sachet ideal milk, one box of J. O soap, three boxes of Lipton, eight boxes of tomato paste, seven boxes of cooking oil, eight boxes of Piya mackerel, 70 Packets of sugar and four boxes of Piya sardines.  

The Ag. College Registrar, Mr. Osei-Bediako Appau, who received the delegation and the items, thanked the delegation for the kind gesture and promised to distribute them to the students through the Head of Ga-Dangme Department.

The Ag. Head, Department of Ga-Dangme Education, Dr. Yvonne A. A. Ollenu, on behalf of the students and lecturers, expressed joy and thanked the delegation for the support and promised that her team will work diligently to see to it that the agenda comes to reality.

It would be recalled that another powerful delegation comprising the Ga Queen-mother of La, Naa Ju Yoo Tsofayelor, Ga Queen-mother Of Mayera, Naa Densua Afriyie and Ladi Nylander led the GA Action Caucus to the College a few days on a similar mission and also made a similar donation.
