Mr. Mohammed Yakub is a native of Nzema, born to Madam Helimatu Mensah and Mohammed Siebie. He had his primary education in Axim and went to Enchi Teacher Training College. Had his bachelor's degree at the University of Education, Winneba, and taught at Baidoo Bonsoe SHS for eight years. He later pursued his master of philosophy in Ghanaian language studies at the University of Education, Winneba. He currently lectures at the Department of Akan-Nzema Education, University of Education, Winneba, and also pursuing his terminal degree at the same university. Yakub is married to Hannarth with children. His reserach interest is in cognitive semantics, sociolinguistics, pragmatics, discourse analysis and onomastics.
