Biography
Prof. Kwasi Adomako is an Associate Professor in the Department of Akan-Nzema Education, Faculty of Ghanaian Languages Education, College of Languages Education, University of Education, Winneba. He had his PhD in Linguistics from University of Ghana, Legon, his MPhil in Theoretical Linguistics from University of Tromso, Norway. He pursued his undergraduate studies, BA (Linguistics and Theatre Arts) at the University of Ghana. His research focuses on the phonology; both segmental and prosodic properties, of the loanword phenomena among members of the Kwa language family spoken in Ghana. He is also interested in the morphophonological study of some phenomena such as personal names, language games, reduplication, etc. His other areas of research interest include language use in the media. He has won scholarships and awards from both the Norwegian Government (Quota Scheme) and German Government's DAAD (Short visit) respectively. He is the former Vice-Dean of Student Affairs, College of Languages Education, UEW, and acting Head, Department of Akan-Nzema Education, University of Education, Winneba. Currently, he is the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Ghanaian Languages Education.
