Biography
Samuel Gameli Gadzo is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at the Department of Applied Finance and Policy Management, University of Education, Winneba, Ghana. He has over a decade of experience at the tertiary level with research interests in Financial Innovation, Financial literacy and Fintech, Blockchain technology and cryptocurrency, Applied corporate finance and banking,Mergers & Acquisitions, Taxation & Fiscal Policy, Corporate reporting and Accounting & finance information systems and Trade finance & debt management strategies. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana and the Chartered Institute of Financial and Investment Analysts. He has won many notable awards, including the Most Influential Lecturer Award at the School of Business 2018 and the 2019 Best Lecturer Award at the University of Education, Winneba. Samuel has coached Team UEW for the Tertiary Business Sense Challenge since its inception in 2019 and has helped the team be crowned Champions of the 2023 edition and second runner-up for the 2021 edition. He has about 23 published articles to his credit in the fields of Accounting, Finance, and Economics in local and international peer-reviewed journals. He also has five books (Corporate Reporting, Application of ICT in Finance, Introduction to Quantitative Methods in Business, Managerial Accounting, and Bank Financial Reporting) to his credit. He is a passionate academician deeply involved in youth advocacy and strives to mentor young, enthusiastic scholars to realise their full potential in research and academic work. He has supervised about 254 undergraduate project works, twenty-three (23) MBA dissertations and six (6) MPhil Thesis for the past years.
