Services Rendered and Steps for Accessing Accommodation
- Accommodation for regular and sandwich students
- Accommodation for other Organisations/Clubs/Associations and Unions
In relation to accommodation for Regular and Sandwich students, the announcement is placed on the University’s website and other social media platforms before the beginning of every academic year/session.
The policy for allocation of rooms is the in-out-out-out criteria. This implies that, only first years are accommodated at the Hall. However, the hall reserves rooms for students with disability or evidence of acute medical problems, sports men and women and executives of the Junior Common Room (JCR) Committee. This policy does not apply to Sandwich students.
Interested applicants report at the Hall Manageress Office with a copy of their admission letters to attest their affiliation to the Hall for bookings to be made. A bank pay-in-slip is given to students based on the hall’s operating bank. Payment made corresponds to the type of room chosen. Upon presenting the receipt of payment from the Bank, room arrangements are finalized and a copy of the pay-in-slip is given to the student.
Organisations/Clubs/Associations/Unions who wish to use the Hall for their programmes writes officially to the Hall Manageress for the necessary arrangements. It is the practice, that, such requests are often accepted during the period between vacation of Regular students, prior to the opening of the next Sandwich session.
