About Us
The Department of Banking and Finance, which was established in September 2017, is under the School of Business, University of Education, Winneba. It is located at the South Campus (former Administration Block, Winneba). The Department offers courses leading to a 4 –year Bachelor of Business Administration Degree (Banking and Finance). The Department continues to support and pursue the key areas of the University’s enterprise, including: teaching, research, publication and service to the community.
The key objective of the Department is to provide a specialized training into the various professions in the area of Banking and Finance, such as Managerial, Financial, Investment and Economic concepts, enabling students to gain understanding of the current practices and problems implicit in modern-day finance.

To be an internationally distinct department for the education of dynamic practitioners in the financial industries.
Mission
To train competent practitioners in banking, investment and finance, well suited for the corporate world, conduct research, disseminate knowledge and to contribute to business educational polices and development of Ghana and beyond.
