CODeL Centre Coordinators and Administrators Undergo Intensive Training at UEW

In a stride towards enhancing the quality of distance education, centre coordinators and administrators of the College for Distance and e-Learning (CODeL) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), have participated in a comprehensive two-day training programme.

The event, held at the Gloriaka Hotel in Winneba from Tuesday, 4th to Wednesday, 5th June, 2024, was attended by nearly all centre coordinators and administrators from the 45 CODeL study centres across Ghana.

Collection of Academic Gowns for 2nd Session of the 28th Congregation Ceremony

The Office of the Dean of Student Affairs (ODSA) has made available all categories of academic gowns for the Second Session of the 28th Congregation at the Lecturers’ Office Complex, North Campus.

Convocation members are invited to join the Vice-Chancellor’s procession for the congregation. However, due to seating capacity at the auditorium, except for the Deans and Directors, Convocation Members are required to join the procession according to the table below:

UEW Lecturers Introduce Engaging Indigenous Mathematics Concepts to Local Schools

A group of lecturers from the Department of Mathematics Education at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has launched a transformative project titled “Mentoring the Next Generation.” As part of this initiative, they organised an educational and entertaining workshop on indigenous mathematics concepts for selected basic schools in Winneba.

UEW Health Services Staff Undergo Hands-on Training on Hospital Management System

Medical practitioners and administrators at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Health Services Directorate, have completed a weeklong intensive training on the use of a newly developed Hospital Management System. This software, created by the Directorate of ICT, aims to transition the Health Services Directorate to a fully paperless operation, streamlining processes and improving efficiency.

Dr. Acheampong Wins 2024 AIESEP Scholar Award

Dr. Ernest Yeboah Acheampong, a senior lecturer at the Department of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Sports (HPERS) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has been honoured as one of the recipients of the prestigious 2024 AIESEP Developing Country Scholar Award. This accolade underscores Dr. Acheampong’s significant contributions to sports education and community well-being, particularly through his innovative research on AirBadminton.
