UEW Matriculates 10,158 Regular Students
The University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has held its annual matriculation ceremonies for the regular session, a cohort of 10,158 fresh students for the 2023/2024 academic year.
The event, which unfolded on Thursday, February 29, 2024, across the Winneba and Ajumako campuses, marked a significant milestone for the institution and set the stage for a transformative academic journey for the freshers.

CIP and ODSA Empower International Students with Pre-Academic Orientation
In a concerted effort to ensure a smooth transition for international students, the Centre for International Programmes (CIP) and the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs (ODSA) organised a comprehensive Pre-Academic Orientation Programme (IPOP) for students from Germany and Liberia.

Suspension of Medical Examination Exercise
The Medical Examination of Fresh Students will be suspended to allow for a smooth conduct of the Mid-Semester Examination Exercise. Consequently, there will be no medical examination of students between Monday 26th February, 2024 and Friday, 1st March 2024.
A new schedule will be announced in due course.

UEW & FUTO GIANT Research Team Presents Project Findings to Stakeholders
In a collaborative research effort between the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), and the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), a joint team of researchers has hosted a symposium at the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly Hall to unveil pivotal findings from their project, "Walking as a Mode of Transport in 'Unwalkable' Contexts: Cross-City Experiences from Ghana and Nigeria (GIANT)."
SCA-UEW, German NGO Empower Weavers & Students with Handloom Project
The School of Creative Arts (SCA) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), in a bid to foster economic empowerment and skill development, has embarked on an initiative in collaboration with a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) from Germany aimed to revolutionise handloom production.
The project will benefit both students studying fashion and textiles at UEW and professional weavers within the Effutu community.
