The Faculty of Social Sciences Education (FSSE) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), hosted a delegation from the Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR) of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) to discuss the creation of a data repository on Ghana’s marine and coastal resources. The meeting at the Geographic Information System (GIS) laboratory brought together faculty members, researchers, and students from FSSE.

To promote sustainable farming practices and empower the next generation of agricultural leaders, the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) launched an intensive three-day training programme on regenerative agriculture for young farmers in the Effutu municipality.

The UEW Alumni Reorganisation Committee, together with the Office for Institutional Advancement (OIA), is pleased to inform University of Education, Winneba (UEW) alumni that the nomination process is now open for the election of Officers who will serve on the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the UEW Alumni Association. The 2024 Graduands of the University of Education, Winneba, and the general public are hereby informed that the First Session of the 29^th Congregation for the award of degrees, diplomas, and certificates to Regular, Sandwich and Distance students will be held in-person from Tuesday, December 17, 2024, to Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre, North Campus, Winneba, as follows:

Prof. (Mrs.) Rebecca Atchoi Akpanglo-Nartey, newly appointed Principal of the College of Languages Education (COLANG) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has paid a courtesy call to the Omanhene of the Ajumako Traditional Council, Okokudurfo Ogyeabour Kwamena Hammah Ababio II. This visit was part of her mission to strengthen ties with key stakeholders.

Prof. (Mrs.) Rebecca Atchoi Akpanglo-Nartey officially assumed office as the Principal of the College of Languages Education, Ajumako. The transition took place at a handing-over ceremony on Monday, 30th September 2024, following the expiration of Prof. Dominic Kweku Danso Mensah’s four-year term.
