UEW's Prof. Mavis Amo-Mensah Selected for U.S. Scholars Exchange Programme

Prof. Mavis Amo-Mensah, Head of the Department of Strategic Communication at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has been selected to participate in the prestigious Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) for Scholars exchange programme,  sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.

Prof. Amo-Mensah represents Ghana in this year's cohort on U.S. Identity, Culture and Society, hosted by Seattle University in collaboration with the University of Montana. She joins global scholars at Seattle University for intensive academic engagements and integrated study tours across various cities in the United States.

This opportunity not only underscores Prof. Amo-Mensah's expertise in strategic communication but also highlights her commitment to pursuing global academic exchanges and enhancing UEW’s international reputation. The University stands to benefit significantly from her participation, as she brings back valuable insights and experiences to enrich academic programmes and research initiatives at UEW.

The SUSI for Scholars exchange programme aims to deepen participants' understanding of U.S. society, culture, values and institutions through a rigorous academic curriculum and immersive cultural experiences. Participants engage in seminars, panel discussions, site visits and academic tours designed to broaden their perspectives and foster international collaboration.
