The Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni has empowered security personnel of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) to be brave and professional in executing their duties.
He authorised them to ensure that every staff or stakeholder who enters the University or any office adheres to official rules and follow the laid down precautionary measures by the University in fighting the coronavirus pandemic.
The Vice-Chancellor said this on Friday, 20th March, 2020 during Management’s meeting with security personnel from all four campuses of the University to remind them of their significant role in protecting life and property of the University.

Fr. Prof. Afful-Broni stated.
The Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Andy Ofori-Birikorang admonished the security personnel to put the interest of the University first in order to safeguard their job. “Do everything to protect your job by being loyal to the institution that has given you the job and never take things for granted with the view that whether you work assiduously or not, your job is secured and you will be paid at the end of the month.”
The Registrar, Surv. Paul Osei-Barima Esq., advised the security personnel to be proud of their profession. He pointed out some qualities of a professional security person. “Security means loyalty, dedication, allegiance, trustworthiness and respect for authority.”
