The Faculty of Health, Allied Sciences, and Home Economics Education invites the university community to a Faculty Seminar on the theme:

Health, Food and Nutrition in Vulnerable Populations: Emerging Contamination, Adulteration, and Feeding Practices.

The seminar will take place as follows:

The event will be chaired by Dr. Ekpor Anyimah-Ackah. Presentations will include the following topics:

  1. Prelacteal feeding practices of children under 24 months old of head porters in Ghana

    • Presented by Adwoa Nyantakyiwaa Amoah (Mrs, PhD)
  2. Food Adulteration: Proximate composition, consumption patterns, and discriminant sensory evaluation of red pepper powder

    • Presented by Veronica Sarfo Wilson
  3. Heavy metal migration, exposure, and health risks through canned tomato mix under different marketing display models

    • Presented by Rahinatu Yakubu Kangre
