7th African Linguistics School 2024
We are thrilled to announce that the University of Education, Winneba has been chosen to host the prestigious African Linguistics Summer Institute (ALS) 7.
Date: 22nd July to 2nd August, 2024
Time: 8am-5pm Daily
Venue: The Seminar and Conference Rooms of the Students Centre, UEW, North Campus, Winneba
The ALS is a distinguished two-week institute dedicated to bringing cutting-edge research and developments in core areas of linguistics to over 70 students from universities across Africa. This year's programme will feature more than 20 esteemed faculty members, who are volunteering their time and expertise. These faculty members are coming from top-tier universities in Europe, North America, and Africa, and their participation underscores the collaborative and global nature of this initiative.
We look forward to welcoming the participants and faculty to our vibrant campus for an enriching and intellectually stimulating experience. This event represents a significant opportunity for the exchange of knowledge, the fostering of academic relationships, and the promotion of linguistic scholarship on the African continent.
