“This has come to fruition as a result of something we conceived two years ago. Our conception was an extraordinary thing. We have gathered here to outdoor the baby we conceived so many years ago,” the HoD stated.

The Dean of SCA, Prof. Patrique deGraft Yankson, promised to ensure that the instruments are put to very good use adding, “we will try our best to equip our students for the real world to come out with flying colours”.

He entreated staff and students assigned to safeguard the instruments to handle them with extra care for the benefit of all. “My prayer is that the next time we gather like this, we will not chronicle how one instrument got spoilt and we have to request for another set of instruments but chronicle how it has grown from strength to strength. I wish that a very rich band greater than many pop bands in Ghana is developed here and that is my dream, motivation, and prayer.”

The occasion, attended by Deans, Directors, HoDs, administrative staff, and students of UEW, was spiced with live band renditions by the UEW Pop Band.
