IERIS-UEW Holds CPD Workshop for Teachers in Kwaebibirem Municipality

The Institute for Educational Research and Innovation Studies (IERIS) of the University of Education, Winneba (IERIS-UEW), a service provider for the National Teaching Council (NTC) in the conduct of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for teachers, has engaged 422 teachers in the Kwaebibirem with the regional and district directors of education.

The training took place at three venues concurrently at Kwaebibirem for two days, from Wednesday, 16th to Thursday, 17th August, 2023.

The participants were taken through Instructional Techniques and Resources for Teaching Creative Arts in Basic Schools and Pedagogical Approaches in Modern Classrooms.

The facilitation team comprised Prof. Ernest Akwasi Amponsah, Prof. Samuel Yirenkyi, and Mr. Godfred Nana Yeboah from the School of Creative Arts with Rev. Prof. Alexander Edwards, Mr. Cosmos Kwame Dzikunu and Mr. Andrews Acquah supported by Mr. Collins Owusu-Ansah, Mr. Benjamin Kofi Essiaw, and Mr. Justine Osei of IERIS.

Following the National Teaching Council's (NTC) accreditation of the Institute for Educational Research and Innovation Studies (IERIS) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) as a service provider for CPDs for teachers, IERIS-UEW received an invitation from the Kwaebibirem Municipal Directorate of Education to conduct CPD training for teachers in the municipality.
