  • 2022 - Jaspong Environmental Research Grant. Receipt of GHC120,000 for a project on ‘Spatial-Enabled Sustainable Waste Management (SSWM)’ by Osman, A, Enoch, E.F and Odame, P.K.
  • The Department in collaboration with Transportation Research Institute of Hasselt University are engaged in Research into "Public Transportation and Accident Analysis and Prevention".
  • A collaborative work between Queensland University of Technology, Australia and the Department has been ongoing "Promoting safe and healthy walking: a theory driven cross cultural comparison".
  • There is also a collaboration between the Department, University of Derby and Virginia on the Muni Lagoon project.
  • The Department has adopted the Muni-Pomadze Ramsar Site to assist in managing it for Tourist attraction.
  • Graduate students in the Department are assisting the Effutu Municipal Assembly and the Forestry commission to undertake studies on land use in the Effutu Municipal area.
