Dr. Theophilus Senyo Ackorlie, the Finance Officer of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has stepped forward to sponsor the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Accounting study for Mr. Marcus Tetteh Obuadey, a distinguished alumnus of UEW.

Mr. Obuadey, a graduate of UEW in 2023, has already etched a remarkable academic record. Not only did he secure a first-class bachelor's degree in accounting, but he was also celebrated as the best student in accounting and business at the graduation ceremony. His achievements further shone when he played a pivotal role in the coaching team for UEW to ensure victory in the prestigious 2023 Tertiary Business Sense Challenge (TBSC v5.0) hosted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG) and Graphic Business.

Inspiration for Dr. Ackorlie's generous sponsorship stemmed from Marcus' stellar performance, particularly his remarkable score of 91% in the Strategic Case Study Paper at the ICAG professional examination. Such an outstanding accomplishment not only underscores his potential but also Dr. Ackorlie's commitment to nurturing and uplifting promising talents.

Reflecting on the transformative power of education and its role in reshaping destinies, Dr. Ackorlie remarked, “Supporting brilliant minds like Marcus is not just an investment in an individual's future but a pledge towards building a brighter, more enlightened society. As the Almighty rested only after creating the earth, it's a testament to the value of hard work and dedication post our prayers.”

Dr. Ackorlie as part of his commitment also pledged to cover the school fees for the level 300 students of the winning TBSC team and extend financial support to the level 400 students pursuing their professional programme with the ICAG.
