The Centre for African Studies aims to be a leader in the production, preservation and promotion of African-centred knoweldge and cultural heritage. 

Currently, the Centre has, inter alia, the following thematic areas of research:

  1. Chieftancy and traditional governance.
  2. Migration and diaspora relations. 
  3. Conflict, peace and development.
