B. B. A. Procurement and Supply Chain Management

The BBA Procurement and Supply Chain Management programme was introduced at the Winneba Campus to meet the growing demand from prospective applicants interested in the field. Its introduction was reinforced by the enactment of the Public Procurement Act, 2003 (Act 663), as amended, which brought new structures, regulations, methods, procedures, and approval thresholds for procurement activities in Ghana's public sector, creating a need for professionally trained Procurement and Supply Chain Management practitioners. Because Supply Chain Management is the umbrella discipline under which procurement operates, the programme also trains students in warehousing and inventory management, transportation and distribution, and business integration, among other areas. The programme has recorded steady growth in enrolment since its introduction.
The aim of the programme is to train students in Procurement and Supply Chain Management to help bridge the profession's manpower gap in Ghana and beyond, enhancing students' knowledge and understanding of the field.

Practical and Research Components
The programme incorporates a Competence-Based Training (CBT) component (Pre-Industrial Internship Seminar, Industrial Internship, and Post-Internship Seminar), a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) component (case studies, student presentations, academic debates, and business simulations), and a research component comprising Research Methods and a Long Essay/Project Work.
