When Should I see a Counsellor

Leader in Teacher Education

You may consider speaking with a counsellor if you experience:

  • persistent stress or anxiety
  • academic pressure
  • relationship difficulties
  • feelings of sadness or loneliness
  • difficulty adjusting to university life
  • major life changes

Seeking support early can help prevent challenges from becoming overwhelming.

What to Expect in Counselling

Counselling sessions provide a confidential and supportive space where individuals can explore concerns, gain insight, and develop coping strategies.

Counsellors work collaboratively with clients to help them make positive and meaningful changes in their lives.

Commitment to Confidentiality

All counselling sessions are strictly confidential. Information shared during counselling will not be disclosed without the client’s permission except where there is risk of harm or where disclosure is required by law.
