The study explored the determinants of market and book-based financial performance of manufacturing companies in Ghana. The data for eleven (11) listed manufacturing companies covering seven years was used for the analysis. The results of the analysis indicated that both the market and book-based financial performance of the manufacturing companies were above the average performance of the manufacturing industry and firm-specific variables such as tangibility, asset structure, and operating cost ratio of the manufacturing companies influenced the book-based financial performance measured as earnings per share (EPS) and Tobin’s Q negatively
