About Us

The Department of Agricultural Science Education and Environmental Science is one of the new Departments under the Faculty of Science Education. It was established in the 2021/2022 academic year at the Winneba campus of the University.

The Department's academic pursuit centres on Agriculture and Environmental Science, mirroring its thematic orientation. The Department aspires to become a global centre of excellence for training, research and the dissemination of information on sustainable agriculture and environment. The Department seeks to achieve this through producing high calibre man-power imbued with the requisite knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for self-employment and private enterprise development.

Academic programmes

The Department currently runs two undergraduate programmes i.e.

• BSc Agricultural Science Education and
• BSc Environmental Science.

The Department runs a postgraduate programme i.e.

• MPhil Environmental Science

Our Department's primary focus is to produce graduates in the fields of agriculture and environmental science for both the education sector and industry.

Our faculty members are actively involved in conducting research aimed at pushing the boundaries of agriculture and environmental science, with the ultimate goal of providing sustainable solutions to address local, regional, and global challenges.
