Students Association

Overview 

“Association des Étudiants de Français” (ASSEF) is an association that was formed in the Department of French Education, University of Education, Winneba. The major aim of the Association is to equip students in the Department through its activities with the requisite knowledge and skills in the French Language, and the necessary attitude and competence that will enable them to function effectively in the society as educators in French. At the helm of management, ASSEF has nine core executive members and a Patroness who monitors the day to day activities of the Association.

Aims/Objectives of the Association 

The Association as part of its efforts to promote the French Language in the Country, has the following objectives:

  1. To sell the good name of the University through effective use of the French language in communication. 
  2. Bringing under one umbrella all the students of the French language in the University of Education, Winneba.
  3. Help students of French improve their French speaking skills through activities of its ateliers (Théâtre, chanson, poésie, sport) 
  4. Organize educational seminars for student personal and professional development.
  5. Collaborate with the Association of French Students in other Universities by attending inter-university competitions.
  6. Help French students not only using the language but also to have an entrepreneurial training to help them acquire skills for future life.
