The Head of Department, Journalism and Media Studies, UEW, Dr. Gifty Appiah-Adjei, indicated that building the competence of students in the promotion of media content was key to building potential journalism lecturers and media managers. She was of the strong belief that the lecture would spark more conversations on the bridge between theory and practice.

"Sometimes, what theory teaches you, you go onto the field and realise that it is totally different. So, in order to ensure the bridge between theory and practice, we occasionally bring experts from the field to bring the realities out there on the field to our students so that we can have discussions on theory and practice," he averred.
