University of Education, Winneba invites applications from suitably qualified applicants for the following positions in the University.

1. UNIVERSITY HEALTH SERVICES

Position - Medical Officers

Qualification and Experience

Candidates seeking appointment as Medical Officers must possess a professional degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBChB, MD, MBBS) and must have completed Houseman rotations and must be on the permanent register of the Ghana Medical and Dental Council. In addition, the candidate must have at least two (2) years post-qualification experience in any registered health facility in Ghana.

Working experience in university health services and basic surgical skills will be an added advantage.

2. INSTITUTE FOR EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH AND INNOVATION STUDIES (IERIS)

A. Position – Director

Qualification and Experience

Candidates seeking appointment as Director in this area must possess a Ph.D. in a relevant research area or discipline.  In addition, the candidate must:

  • be of a professorial rank.
  • have at least ten (10) years of post-doctoral experience in research and grantsmanship.
  • have a good experience in academic leadership.

The appointment is for a period of three (3) years and renewable for another three (3) years.

B. Position – Research Fellows

Qualification and Experience

Candidates seeking appointment as Research Fellows must possess a Ph.D. in any of the following disciplines:

  • Science
  • Mathematics
  • Educational Leadership and Management
  • Public Policy
  • Educational Foundations and related fields. 

In addition, the candidate must:

  • have at least five (5) years postdoctoral research experience.
  • have good communication and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • good knowledge of research and grantsmanship
  • good experience in STEM-related programmes will be an added advantage.
  • be at a rank not below Senior Research Fellow or analogous rank.

C. Position – Research Manager

Qualification and Experience

Candidates seeking appointment as Research Manager must possess a Ph.D. in a relevant research area. In addition, the candidate must:

  • have at least three (3) years of experience in Project/Research management.
  • proven project management skills.
  • good knowledge in research and grantsmanship.
  • have good communication and excellent interpersonal skills.

3. DEPARTMENT OF INTEGRATED HOME ECONOMICS EDUCATION

Position – Lecturers

Qualification and Experience

Candidates seeking appointment as Lecturers in this Department must possess a Ph.D. in any of the following disciplines:

  • Management in Living
  • Clothing and Textiles
  • In addition, the candidate must show evidence of research or publications in a reputable journal.
  • Membership in a relevant professional body will be an added advantage.
