VICE-CHANCELLOR CALLS ON I.T- CONSORTIUM TO UP THEIR GAME
The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Mawutor Avoke has called on IT-Consortium, Service providers of the Online Students Information System (OSIS) to step up their game to ensure uninterrupted service to staff and students.
The Vice-Chancellor made this observation at the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Education, Winneba and IT-Consortium on Wednesday 6th April, 2016. The Deputy Registrar in charge of Academic Affairs, Mrs. Wilhelmina Tete-Mensah in a remark said the relationship between IT-Consortium and UEW spans over 13 years. The signing of the MOU, she noted is meant to strengthen the relationship and also introduce a maintenance pact in them. This she indicated has become necessary because for some time now, UEW has had some challenges with OSIS, which she believes, providing it the services could help the institution to overcome.
The Leader of the IT-Consortium Team expressed appreciation to the Management for the continued partnership with the University. He noted that, since much has been incorporated after the initial development of the system, they intend to bring on board improved technologies that would make the OSIS functional.
