UEW is a Dream Place to be – Fresh Students of 2018/2019 Academic Year
Fresh students for the 2018/2019 academic year have expressed their delight to be students of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) and touted it as a dream school to be.
The fresh students who arrived officially on Saturday, 1st September, 2018 are undergoing an Intensive Pre-academic Orientation which started on Monday, 3rd and is expected to end on Wednesday, 12th September, 2018.
Sharing general views on UEW, a student called Blessing indicated that the University is a wonderful place as well as a dream school to be. She added that her dream and objective of becoming a professional teacher is guaranteed.

Another student reading Biology expressed satisfaction towards the serene environment and quality facilities witnessed so far. He applauded the Organisers and facilitators of the Orientation particularly the Vice-Chancellor, Very Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni whom he described as fantastic, jovial and extrovert.

A Political Science Student, Akosua Nhyira Achiaa said she was impressed with the friendly behaviour of the lecturers adding that, the environment is so sociable and accommodative.

Another Political Science student, Bright Oppong professed contentment in topics treated at the Orientation which is ongoing. He therefore, encouraged Senior High School students who aspire to pursue University programmes to choose UEW because he believes that it is one of the best tertiary institutions in the country.
However, some students spoke about their grievances. Some of the challenges they pointed out include inadequate accommodation and the intensive nature of the Orientation.

Eventually, Isaac and Love both Political Science students said with joy that the Home Economics Production Unit at Faculty Block has a good environment coupled with great taste of the food.
