UEW-COLANG Principal Applauds Researchers from Goethe University, Germany
The Principal of the College of Languages Education (COLANG), Ajumako Campus, University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Prof. Dominic Danso Mensah, has praised a team of researchers from the Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany, for their VP- Periphery of the Mabia Languages Project.
On behalf of the University Management, Prof. Mensah expressed great satisfaction with the research team's inventiveness in fostering high standards of instruction and investigation through joint research. He was hopeful more opportunities would open up for more staff.

The Principal was speaking when the project team led by Prof. Dr. Kathrina Hartmann called on him to officially inform him of their departure from Ghana.
The College Registrar, Mr. Alexander W. Essah, thanked the Research team particularly, for their choice of COLANG in their research. He implored the team to explore other avenues for collaborative research with the staff of the College.
Mr. Essah also entreated Prof. Dr. Kathrina Hartmann to explore the possibility of having the students reading the German language have their internship in Germany to improve their proficiency.

Prof. Dr. Kathrina Hartmann expressed gratitude on behalf of her team to the Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the College for letting them use their facilities for a month while they were on the Ajumako Campus.
She was full of praise and gratitude to the University, particularly, the College for the honour done them. She pointed out that they had enough data to assist their research.
Prof. Dr. Kathrina also informed the Principal that in the course of the work, they had an opportunity to visit the University’s Winneba Campus and had a seminar with the students studying the German language to expose them to German culture and expectations.

She assured the University of the possibility of staff and graduate students pursuing further studies up to the Ph.D. levels in Germany. It was mentioned that the VP project was to end in 2024, nonetheless, she was lobbying to get another project for the benefit of the University of Education, Winneba.
On behalf of her team, Prof. Dr. Kathrina Hartmann, donated assorted books in the area of linguistics to support the College library. The Principal also thanked her for the gesture and promised to ensure their good utilisation. In return, the Principal presented some UEW souvenirs to the visiting team.
