“The University of Education, Winneba offers a good environment for such activities to thrive. In this regard, professional associations such as the Ghana Geographers Association cannot thrive very well without organising events such as conferences, workshops and seminars. It is these and many other reasons that the Management of the University wholeheartedly supports this course.” He said.

He reiterated that conferences showcase the outcomes of researches and equip members with the current trends in a particular discipline. He therefore, encouraged everyone to fully participate in such programmes.

The Ag. Vice-Chancellor indicated that conferences are an occasion for networking, striking acquaintances, making new friends and enable members open up opportunities to take stock of the previous year.
