The Centre for International Programmes is charged with the responsibility of managing international relations of the University. It is the first point of call for all international students and guests of the University of Education Winneba (UEW).
The Centre collaborates with relevant departments to design and run special programmes for international students. Some of these programmes include, English with Pedagogy, Proficiency in English, Translation and Interpretation.
The Centre seeks grants and funding opportunities and financial support for international students who choose to study at UEW and for UEW students who wish to study outside Ghana.
The Centre handles immigration issues and travel arrangements for international students and assist them, once in Ghana, to settle in. In addition, the Centre arranges accommodation for international students and guides them around town.
Other services offered by the Centre include:
- Organizing orientation programmes for international students to help them to manage cultural shocks so that students can socially integrate quickly and adapt to their new environment
- Organizing entertainment/excursion programmes for international students.
- Handling all other international student services and welfare issues
