The Ag. Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Fr. A. Afful-Broni has on behalf of the Governing Council of the University of Education, Winneba appointed Mrs. Christie Okae-Anti as Ag. Registrar of UEW effective October 3, 2017.
In a letter from the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, she will hold the position 'pending the completion of processes for the appointment of a substantive Registrar in due course'.
The Registrar, Dr. C. Y. Akwaa-Mensah has handed over Notes and Assets he kept in trust as the Registrar of the University of Education, Winneba on Tuesday, October 3, 2017.
Handing over to the Ag. Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Afful-Broni, Dr. C. Y. Akwaa-Mensah said, copies of the handing over notes were made available to the Internal Audit Department.
The Registrar of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Dr. Christopher Yartey Akwaa-Mensah reiterated that he leaves office with fond memories as his cohorts have assisted him discharge his duties successfully.
He said that he was highly encouraged and grateful for the support and wonderful love shown him during his period in office. He expressed his apology to whoever he might have wronged during his tenure as Registrar.
The Institute for Distance and e-Learning (IDeL) of the University of Education, Winneba has organised an intensive orientation programme for Distance Education students. The orientation was held for students in four zones (Winneba, Ho, Tamale and Kumasi).
Out of a total of 57 staff of the University of Education, Winneba who retired from active service in 2017, 44 were from the Winneba campus. An impressive ceremony has been organised by the University Management to honour the 44 retirees of the Winneba campus at the Senior Members and Staff Association Club House (SEMSA) at the North Campus on Friday, 22nd September, 2017. They were honoured in recognition of their meritorious services to the University during the period of their active service.
The Internal Audit Department of the University of Education, Winneba in collaboration with the Division of Human Resource has organised a workshop for staff of the Audit Department from 17th-18th August 2017, under the theme; ‘Audits that make impact; preparing not to fail’ at the Registrar’s conference room.
Presentations included audit report and writing skills, being a trusted advisor and auditor, online student information system and emotional intelligence.

The ultimate in Campus Radio, Radio Windy Bay 98.3 FM in collaboration with Diabetes Care for West Africa, Saturday 23rd September, 2017 undertook free diabetes and blood pressure screening exercise at Sekagyaano, a suburb of Winneba as part of their social responsibilities.
The exercise was the second of its kind. The first was held on Saturday 2nd September, 2017 at Penkye with massive patronage as compared to the second.
