A three-day Gender Summit has been held in the University of Education, Winneba by Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASSAG Women's Commission) in collaboration with Gender Mainstreaming Directorate, HIV/AIDS Unit, HPERS and University Clinic from 27th to 29th October, 2016 at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre, North Campus.

The 2016 National Intercessory Prayers has been held at the University of Education, Winneba at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre on Saturday 29th October, 2016. The event which commemorates the 15th Anniversary of the Assembly was on the theme “Peace Be Still: Mark 4:39.”
A review meeting for the T-TEL Project Coordinating Team, Management of UEW and a Consultant from DFID has been held at the University of Education, Winneba on Tuesday 1st November, 2016.
The rationale for the meeting was to brainstorm and pick out ideas that will inform the future packaging and frameworking for the T-TEL project.
The University of Education, Winneba has concluded a pact with AsanSka College of Design and Technology, Accra, at a ceremony held in UEW on Tuesday 1st November, 2016.
The Signing of the Pact is part of the requirement of the National Accreditation Board for Colleges to be affiliated to a mentoring University that would supervise the running of programmes. As an institutional response to the general challenge facing higher educational institutions in Ghana on resolving the issue of high utility tariffs, nine kitchenettes have been constructed for students in residence to allow them use LPG for cooking in-place of electric cookers as an interim measure.
The University of Education, Winneba, has presented farming and fishing equipment to the Effutu Municipal Assembly on 28th October, 2016 in support of the 32nd National Farmers Day Celebration this year. The items comprised 60 Sharpened Crocodile Machetes, 20 Pairs of Wellington Boots, and 4 Fishing Hooks.
