The Accreditation Office of UEW has organised a day’s workshop on Accreditation Issues for key categories of staff at the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).

The workshop which was attended by Deans of Faculty, Heads of Department, Examinations Officers, Faculty Officers and other Administrators sought, among other things, to expose the nitty-gritty of accreditation issues to participants so they can avoid the pitfalls and challenges related to accreditation processes.

The Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni has affirmed Management’s eagerness to raise responsible graduates for future development of the nation.  

He refuted assertions that the youth were inexperienced and had nothing better to offer the nation but were rather hardworking and visionary. He consequently beseeched people in leadership to support and encourage young people to be excellent at what they do.  

The Cape Coast High Court 2 at its sitting on Friday, 1^st March, 2019, threw out a criminal contempt application filed by Counsel Harold Atuguba for Dr. Kaakyire Duku, Prof. Mawutor Avoke, Dr. Theophilus Ackorlie, Mr. Frank Owusu-Boateng, Ms. Mary Dzimey, Ing. Daniel Tetteh against the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Chairman of the Governing Council, Vice-Chancellor and the Registrar of the University.

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Methodist University College Ghana (MUCG) to mentor and award  Masters Degrees for Postgraduate Programmes to be run by the latter institution.  

The Programmes are Master of Education in Leadership and Innovation, Master of Education in Management and Practice, Master of Arts in Small Business Management and Master of Arts in Entrepreneurship.
