Acting Vice-Chancellor's Special Welcome Message to Sandwich Students

The Ag. Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba, Very Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni, has in a video extended a special welcome to all Sandwich Students for the 2017/2018 Sandwich Session.  He indicated that the University is undoubtedly a "University of Excellence, the largest populated University in the Country with current population of Sixty-Five Thousand precious men and women all over the country". He further emphasised that the University is a community of happy and proud people.

Awardees of ARNU Tour UEW

The Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) on Tuesday, 31st July, 2018 received ten awardees of the Association of Registrars of Nigerian Universities (ARNU) at its (UEW) Main Campus in Winneba.

The visit which was initiated by the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), intended to host the awardees on a Study Tour to Ghana, visit other Ghanaian Universities, learn from them and tour their campuses as well.

Faculty of Social Sciences Education (UEW) Collaborates with the Ghana Police Service

A delegation from the Faculty of Social Sciences Education of the University of Education, Winneba has paid a courtesy visit to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to explore the possibility of establishing collaboration between the Centre for Conflicts, Human Rights and Peace Studies (CHRAPS) and the Ghana Police Service. This took place on Monday, 31st July, 2018 at the Police Headquarters in Accra.

GRASAG-UEW Hosts 3rd International Multi-disciplinary Conference

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Chapter of the Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana (GRASAG) in collaboration with the School of Graduate Studies (SGS), the Institute for Educational Research and Innovation Studies (IERIS), Centre for International Programmes (CIP), Centre for Conflict, Human Rights and Peace Studies (CHRAPS) and the Gender Mainstreaming Directorate has hosted the 3rd International Multi-disciplinary Conference for post-graduate students.

COLTEK Librarians Hold Information Literacy Workshop

A three-day workshop was organised for the library staff of the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) of the University of Education, Winneba from July 3rd to Friday, 5th July, 2018.

It was aimed at enhancing the skills of the library staff in various components of Information Literacy so that Librarians would be able to provide better services to their users and also assist them to become information literate.

Department of Special Education Receives Books on Inclusive Education

U.S. Fulbright Scholar, Prof. Tiece Ruffin has on behalf of her family, donated a collection of twenty books  to the Special Education Department of University of Education, Winneba (UEW). This special collection of children's literature features children with a variety of disabilities like dyslexia, autism, Down syndrome, learning disability, blindness and deafness amongst others. The donation was done at the Special Education Reading Resource Centre at the South Campus on Tuesday, 24th July, 2018.

UEW Staff Sensitised on Strategic Planning

The 2019-2023 Corporate Strategic Plan Development Committee of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has organised a ‘Strategic Planning Sensitisation’ workshop for staff of the University.

The 2014-2018 Corporate Strategic Plan of UEW ends in December, 2018; thus, to fill the vacuum within that period, the Management of UEW constituted a Strategic Plan Development Committee (SPDC) to develop a new Strategic Plan for the next five years (2019-2023).
