Winneba NVTI Manager Calls on Vice-Chancellor

The new Manager of the Winneba National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) Mr. Martin Ekow Young, on 5th March, 2019 paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Afful-Broni as part of his tour to introduce himself to stakeholders upon assumption of duty. 

He mentioned that records available at the Institute indicated an existing good relationship between the UEW and NVTI and as a new Manager, he has a duty to maintain and strengthen that relationship.

HOPSA 1994-1996 Year Group Pays Surprise Visit to Vice-Chancellor

It was all beautiful smiles, great joy and recall of fond memories when the 1994-1996 year group of Holy Child Past Students Association (HOPSA) paid a surprise visit to the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni.

Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni was the first ever African resident Chaplain and a tutor at Holy Child School. He taught the year group who are currently celebrating their 25th anniversary as past students of Holy Child School.

COLTEK Staff Trained on Accreditation Issues

The Accreditation Office of UEW has organised a day’s workshop on Accreditation Issues for key categories of staff at the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).

The workshop which was attended by Deans of Faculty, Heads of Department, Examinations Officers, Faculty Officers and other Administrators sought, among other things, to expose the nitty-gritty of accreditation issues to participants so they can avoid the pitfalls and challenges related to accreditation processes.

COLTEK and CAGRIC Student-Leaders Undergo Leadership Workshop

Student-Leaders from the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) and College of Agriculture Education, Asante-Mampong (CAGRIC) have undergone a day’s Leadership Workshop at Kumasi.

About 100 student-leaders attended the workshop which was held under the theme “The 21st Century Students’ Leadership: Obstacles and Opportunities.”

“We’re Dedicated to Raising Responsible Graduates for Nation-Building” – Vice-Chancellor

The Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni has affirmed Management’s eagerness to raise responsible graduates for future development of the nation.  

He refuted assertions that the youth were inexperienced and had nothing better to offer the nation but were rather hardworking and visionary. He consequently beseeched people in leadership to support and encourage young people to be excellent at what they do.
