An alumnus of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Dr. Prince Hamidu Armah, the Executive Secretary of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), is spearheading Ghana’s educational transformation agenda. Dr. Prince Hamidu Armah has shown a thorough understanding of the Ghanaian educational system, articulated and offered very insightful contributions to addressing the inherent challenges there are, towards fulfilling the transformation agenda.

The Governing Council of the University of Education, Winneba on 4th July 2019 appointed Mr. Francis Obeng as the Finance Officer. Mr. Obeng officially assumed duty on 17th July, 2019, subsequently took permission, and fully assumed duty on Monday 2nd September, 2019.
He was conducted round some offices of the University by the Registrar, Surv. Paul Osei-Barima, Esq. He also took part in a training workshop on the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System currently ongoing at the University.
The Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni has stated that the welfare of staff and students of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) is valuable to Management hence, the continuous provision, construction and upgrade of facilities.
He recounted some of the on-going projects on the campuses of the University to facilitate effective administrative and efficient academic work, particularly the construction of a 100-bed-state-of-the-art University hospital at Winneba to improve the delivery of health services.

The Coordinator for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes at the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Dr. Humphrey Danso has assured the public of the high quality of programmes that UEW offers via its Sandwich and Distance Modes.

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW), as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility has fully funded a four-day Maths Camp for upper primary pupils in the Effutu Municipality. The Maths Camp, organised by the Department of Mathematics Education, took place at the Kwame Boadi Pavilion and the Assembly Hall both at the South Campus from Sunday, 11th to Wednesday, 14th August, 2019.
The Department of Human Resource (DHR) at the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has organised a two-day workshop on current trends in University Administration for all senior staff of the College.

The Faculty of Education and Communication Sciences (FECS) of the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) has organised a three-day workshop for its staff to prepare for the start of the 2019/2020 academic year and strategise towards the future growth of the Faculty.
The workshop, held at Obuasi in the Ashanti Region, offered the opportunity for long-drawn-out sessions for in-depth discussions into key issues, in addition to presentations on various strategic topics.
The Department of Special Education (SPED) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) in collaboration with Western Oregon University (WOU), USA has held a workshop from Monday, 29th July to Friday, 9th August, 2019 for Sign Language Interpreters (SLI) and teachers of the deaf at the Registrar’s Conference Room, North Campus, Winneba.
From October 2019, forty-six public Colleges of Education will collaborate with five public universities in the country to roll out the new B. Ed programme which was approved by the National Accreditation Board in July 2018. This was disclosed at a two day orientation workshop organized by T-Tel for communicators from the five participating public universities to explore ways to support the roadmap for the delivery of the B.Ed programme and to address emerging communication issues.
