The Chiefs and people of the Ajumako traditional area have pledged their support towards the development of the College of Languages Education of the University of Education, Winneba located in their Community. The support included the donation of large tracts of lands to the University, availing themselves to serve on lands committee to resolve all outstanding land disputes in the locality, and assist in bringing in investors to develop the university and the community at large.

The Head of Department of Geography Educaton of the University of Education Winneba, has been elected the President of Ghana Geographers Association (GGA). This came at an election held at Ho Technical University as part of the annual conference of the association. He took over from Prof. Martin Oteng Ababio of the University of Ghana who was the President from August 2015 to 2017. Dr.Dadson until this election, was the Vice President of the association.
The Graduate Student Association of f Ghana (GRASAG-UEW Chapter) in collaboration with the School of Graduate Studies (SGS), the Institute for Educational Research and Innovation Studies (IERIS), Centre for International Programmes (CIP), Centre for Conflict, Human Right and Peace Studies (CHRAPS) and the Gender Mainstreaming Directorate has held its second International Multi-disciplinary Conference for Postgraduate Students dubbed IMCfPS@UEW-2017.
The College of Languages Education, Ajumako Campus of the University of Education, Winneba has held its first in the series of stakeholder consultations conference with chiefs and opinion leaders in Ajumako. The conference which was held on 8th August, 2017 discussed issues that centered on the development of the University and the community.
