Level 300 UEW Graphic Design Student wins Branding and Package Design Competition

A level 300 student of the Department of Graphic Design, University of Education, Winneba (UEW), George Assiful, has won the first prize for a prestigious Branding and Package Design competition in Ghana. 

The competition was organised by Prof. Shinichi Ito of Musashino Art University, Japan, Motohiro Kurokawa of Takasaki City University of Economics, Japan and Mr. Eric Donkor, Chief Executive Officer of White Beam Concept, Tema, for tertiary institutions in Ghana offering Graphic Design as a programme of study.

Official Launch of Ghana Youth in Tourism and Festival (YOTOFEST) 2022

The Sanitation Taskforce of the University of Education, Winneba under the auspices of the Office of Dean of Student Affairs (ODSA), and in collaboration with the Tourism Society of Ghana, Ministry of Tourism Arts and Culture is organizing the Ghana Youth in Tourism Festival (YOTOFEST) 2022.

2nd Social Studies National Conference held at UEW

The Department of Social Studies Education, University of Education, Winneba (UEW), in collaboration with the National Social Studies Association (NaSSA), has held the second edition of the National Social Studies Conference. 

The event took place at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre, North Campus of UEW on Wednesday, 3rd November, 2021 under the theme “Development of 21st Century Skills and Competencies: The Role of Social Studies”.

Admission into B. A. Creative Arts and Design Education | 2021/2022 academic year

About the Programme

The Creative Arts and Design Education programme is designed to fill the wide gap of training competent creative arts teachers who have adequate knowledge in Visual Arts, Music and Theatre Arts, and are capable of implementing the pre-tertiary creative arts curriculum in Ghana. 

Teachers trained from this programme will be very helpful to the Ghana Education Service in that regard.

The programme is also meant to train personnel for managerial positions in the Arts, Culture, Media Arts and Tourism sectors.

Fresh Sandwich Students for the 2020/2021 Academic Year Matriculated

The University of Education Winneba (UEW) has today, Thursday, 4th November, 2021, held a matriculation ceremony to formally initiate fresh sandwich students for the 2020/2021 academic year into the University at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre.  

The ceremony offered matriculants the platform to profess their allegiance to the authority of UEW through the administration of the Matriculation Oath to signal their formal induction into the University.

UEW Student Places 3rd in ARSO’s 8th Continental Essay Competition

A final year student of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Mr. Emmanuel Quaicoe Dadson, has placed 3rd in the Ghana Standards Authority’s 2020/2021 African Organisation for Standardisation (ARSO) essay competition at the national level.

Mr. Emmanuel Quaicoe Dadson is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Procurement and Supply Chain Management at the School of Business.

BASA Students Shown the Direction to Building a Successful Business Career

The School of Business, University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has held its annual seminar series for the Business Administration Students Association (BASA). 

The programme was held concurrently in two sessions at the North Campus Mini-Conference Room and the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre to manage the numbers amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
