CIP Prepares Potential Applicants for AHP Post-Doctoral Grant

The Centre for International Programmes (CIP), University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has organised a two-day workshop to prepare potential applicants for the next call for African Humanities Program (AHP), post-doctoral fellowship applications.

The two-day workshop, held from Wednesday, 14th to Thursday, 15th October, 2020, at the Central Campus Conference Room, Winneba, witnessed AHP advisors and mentors facilitating the workshop via zoom. Participants were exposed to the basics of the AHP grant application processes.

UEW Congratulates Prosper K. Kuorsoh on Winning Award at the 25th GJA Awards

The Office for Institutional Advancement (OIA) of the University of Education, Winneba, wishes to extend warm congratulations to Mr. Prosper K. Kuorsoh for winning the Best Journalist Award in Health Reporting (print category) at the 25th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Awards held on Saturday, 24th October, 2020 in Accra.

Mr. Prosper K. Kuorsoh is a graduate student pursuing a Master of Philosophy programme in Communication and Media Studies at the Department of Communication and Media Studies, University of Education, Winneba.

UEW Alumnus Excelling at Entrepreneurship

An alumnus of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Mr. Ernest Osei Bonsu is making great exploits at entrepreneurship shortly after attaining his first degree. 

Mr. Bonsu studied Home Economics Education with specialisation in Professional Techniques in Clothing Construction. He graduated from the UEW this year (2020) with Second Class Upper Division honours and now holds a Bachelor of Science Degree.

Kingdom Books to Complete Construction of Purpose-built UEW Bookstore

The Director, Works and Physical Development, University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Arc. Grace Oppong-Peprah has hinted that Kingdom Books and Stationery Limited (KBSL) would complete the construction of a purpose-built UEW bookstore latest by 23rd November, 2020. 

Arc. Oppong-Peprah indicated that the contractor was on track to complete the project on time. She, therefore, expressed assurance that it would be completed and also be ready for use latest by 23rd November.

Prof. Kankam Chairs Governing Council of UENR

Associate Professor, George Kankam, Dean of School of Graduate Studies, University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has been appointed to lead the Governing Council of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) to pioneer change in energy, environment and technology towards Ghana’s drive at sustainable development.

Prof. George Kankam is a British Council Scholar, Fulbright Scholar and a British-trained educationist from the Universities of Hull and Sussex with extensive experience and expertise in General Education, Teacher Education and Guidance and Counselling.
