Orientation for Deans, Directors, Deputy Registrars and Heads of Department

The Division of Human Resource is organising a One-Day Orientation for Deans, Vice Deans, Directors, Deputy Registrars and Heads of Department on the theme “Achieving Our Mandate through the Implementation of Corporate Strategic Plan 2019-2023”.

The purpose of the orientation is to orient and equip participants with the necessary skills to address common challenges in the discharge of their duties. The programme is scheduled as follows:

Collection of Academic Gowns for Matriculation | 2019/2020 Regular Session

Matriculation ceremony for the 2019/2020 cohort of fresh undergraduate and graduate regular students of the Winneba Campus has been scheduled as follows:

Date: Wednesday, 2nd October, 2019

Venue: Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre

Time: 10:00am prompt

 

In connection with the ceremony, the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs (ODSA) announces that collection of the Academic gowns begins on Friday, 27th September, 2019 at the Secretariat of ODSA.

COLTEK Wins COL Grant to Train Youth in Automotive Electronic Car Repairs and Maintenance

The College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) has won a 57,000-Canadian-Dollar-grant under the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) to pilot “Skills-in-Demand Project” in Ghana. With the grant, COLTEK will train, at least, 100 Ghanaian youth in Automotive Electronic car repairs and maintenance.

COL is an inter-governmental organisation established by the Commonwealth Heads of Government in 1988 with the focus on encouraging the development and sharing of open learning and distance education knowledge, resources and technologies.

UEW Undergoes Institutional Accreditation Review

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has undergone a four-day cyclical institutional review undertaken by the National Accreditation Board (NAB).

Institutional review constitutes one of the mechanisms through which the NAB carries out its mandate of ensuring internal quality and continuous improvement in tertiary education institutions in Ghana. Section 8(2) of Act 744 mandates the Board to conduct a five year cyclical review of all tertiary education institutions in the country.

Schedule for Medical Examinations for Fresh Students | 2019/2020

Fresh students are being informed that the ongoing medical examinations for the 2019/2020 academic year will, as from 30th September to 15th November, 2019 be conducted based on a schedule from 7:30am to 4:30pm every working day at the University Clinic.

Stduents are to note that the medical examinations are mandatory for all fresh students to be accepted as junior members of the University. Fresh students who fail to report or complete their medical examinations within the period would:
