Members of staff are kindly informed that the 2018 diaries have been supplied. Representatives from various Departments and Offices are to go to UEW stores (South Campus) with the list sent to them to pick copies for their staff members.
The Division of Human Resource (UEW) in collaboration with the Security Directorate (UEW), organised a two-day workshop for the various Hall Assistants of the University from 21st - 22nd February 2017. The programme was titled “The role of Hall Assistants in ensuring effective security and safety at the hall of residence”.
The aim of the workshop was to discuss the various threats and dangers students were exposed to in their various halls, as well as the duties of Hall Assistants and some recommendations for the future of the university.
The College of Languages Education (CoLANGE), Ajumako observed the 2018 International Mother Language Day (IMLD) at the Ajumako Campus amidst rich Ghanaian cultural displays and speeches. The event which took place on Wednesday 21st February, 2018 was held under the theme “Preserving Linguistic Diversity and Promoting Multilingualism to Support the SDGs”.

Hundreds of students at the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) on February 23, 2018 thronged the campus ceremonial grounds to pay tribute to the Late Prof. Reynolds Okai, Principal of the College who recently passed away. The convocation, which lasted for about 20 minutes, saw the students observing a minute’s silence to honour the late Principal in addition to offering prayers of peace and rest for the soul of the departed and strength for his family.
The UEW Governing Council on Thursday 22nd February, 2018 received the Final Report of the Fact Finding Committee set up at its instance.
The Department of History Education, University of Education, Winneba, wishes to invite you all to the 2018 GNHD celebration.
The Department of History Education at the University of Education, Winneba, introduced the Ghana National History Day (GNHD) Celebrations in 2015. The idea is to promote students' and citizens' learning about their history, engaging in researching and writing about their history, and for them to share their work with a larger community. The theme for the 2018 GNHD is 'Conflict and Compromise in History'.
We wish to inform the university community that the University has been served with a writ of summons by interested parties seeking other reliefs including an injunction on the appointment of a new Pro-Vice-Chancellor. The interested parties are Dr. Frimpong Kaakyire Duku, Prof Mawutor Avoke, Dr. Theophilus Ackorlie, Mr. Frank Boateng, Miss Mary Dzimey and Ing. Daniel Tetteh.
Council has therefore, directed that the election of Pro-Vice-Chancellor, scheduled for Monday, February 26, 2018 be postponed until further notice.
Crestfallen hearts, unrestrained sobs and intermittent shaking of heads in utter shock and in apparent show of disbelief were the dispositions of many a staff who attended an emergency general meeting at the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) on February 21, 2018 to officially break news of the passing of the Principal of the College, Prof. (Ing.) Reynolds Okai and also apprise staff of subsequent developments.

A two day workshop on effective filing and office management was held on the 12th -14th February, 2018 for Administrative and Clerical Staff of University of Education, Winneba. The workshop, which brought together Administrators and Clerks of various Faculties, Departments, Divisions and all recognised offices in the Institution was aimed at informing, educating and introducing the participants to contemporary advanced filling systems and Office Management.

With a heavy heart, we officially announce to the University Community the sudden death of our illustrious Principal, Prof. Reynolds Okai, Principal of the College of Technology Education, Kumasi. The late Prof. Okai was taken ill while on official assignment in China, and unfortunately passed on yesterday, 18th February, 2018.
Members of staff are kindly informed that due to unforeseen challenges, there has been a delay in the procurement of the 2018 diaries. It is expected that the diaries will be supplied by the end of February 2018.
Any inconveniences caused is deeply regretted.
Members of the Academic Board are invited to attend a meeting to consider results for the April Graduation. The meeting is scheduled as follows:
