INVITATION TO FOOD EXHIBITION AND PROMOTION OF ENDANGERED GHANAIAN DISHES

The Department of Home Economics invites the general public to its food exhibition, promotion of endangered Ghanaian dishes and dishes from lesser used-food commodities in Ghana by level 300 students of the department.

The exhibition forms part of the semester's course HEC 351: Recipe Development and Food Preservation.

Be committed and dedicated to your work – HR tells UEW National Service personnel

A training seminar has been held for national service personnel in UEW by the Division of Human Resources at the J. N. Aryeetey Auditorium on 8th October, 2016.

The seminar brought together one hundred and fifty seven national service personnel from the various departments in UEW, paved way for service personnel to actively interact with the Division of Human Resources and also channel their grievances through the division to appropriate authorities for the necessary steps to be taken in resolving them.

UEW Signs agreement with Archer College of Early Childhood Education

The University of Education, Winneba has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Archer College of Early Childhood Education that leads to the establishment of a mentoring relationship between the College and UEW.

The Vice-Chancellor of UEW, Professor Mawutor Avoke stated that the agreement was informed by the institutional mandate of UEW to provide the needed assistance to various institutions in the training of competent teachers for all educational levels. He was appreciative of the fact that Archer College had chosen UEW as their mentor University.

Gender Summit held in UEW

A three-day Gender Summit has been held in the University of Education, Winneba by Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASSAG Women's Commission) in collaboration with Gender Mainstreaming Directorate, HIV/AIDS Unit, HPERS and University Clinic from 27th to 29th October, 2016 at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre, North Campus.

UEW Concludes Pact with AsanSka College of Design and Technology

The University of Education, Winneba has concluded a pact with AsanSka College of Design and Technology, Accra, at a ceremony held in UEW on Tuesday 1st November, 2016.

The Signing of the Pact is part of the requirement of the National Accreditation Board for Colleges to be affiliated to a mentoring University that would supervise the running of programmes. In his welcome address, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mawutor Avoke remarked that the signing of the agreement concludes the partnership between the two institutions.
