Grooming the next generation of great debaters

The Intellectuals is an exciting and educative debate competition between University halls across Ghana. It hopes to groom the next generation of great debaters.

The reality programme would be broadcasted on major TV channels in the country. The show is being organised by Promptus Films Ltd. and will be launched on 8th March, 2018 in Accra.

The University, Simpa, Ghartey and Kwegir Aggrey halls of the University of Education, Winneba would be officially profiled from 9th - 10th February as participants of the "Intellectuals reality show".

ELECTION OF PRO-VICE-CHANCELLOR

The Ag. Vice-Chancellor has nominated the following persons to be voted on by Convocation in accordance with statute 7 (b) of the University statutes:

  • Prof. Francis Owusu-Mensah    -           Director, Institute for Distance and e-Learning

ELECTION OF CONVOCATION REPRESENTATIVES ON UEW GOVERNING COUNCIL

The term of office of the 4 Convocation representatives on Council will come to an end in February 2018. Section 8 (i) of the University of Education Act (672) provides that: “Every member of the Council except the Vice-Chancellor and Principals shall hold office for a period of two years and is eligible for re-appointment”. As a result 4 vacancies have been created in the Convocation slots on Council. Elections will therefore be organized on all Campuses.
