Grooming the next generation of great debaters

The Intellectuals is an exciting and educative debate competition between University halls across Ghana. It hopes to groom the next generation of great debaters.

The reality programme would be broadcasted on major TV channels in the country. The show is being organised by Promptus Films Ltd. and will be launched on 8th March, 2018 in Accra.

The University, Simpa, Ghartey and Kwegir Aggrey halls of the University of Education, Winneba would be officially profiled from 9th - 10th February as participants of the "Intellectuals reality show".

2017/2018 2nd Semester Registration Guidelines

Second Semester Registration for 2017/2018 would be a Self-Registration Exercise
Students are mandated to follow judiciously the specified rules and regulations
Registration would commence on 24^th January 2018 and end on the 7^th of February 2018.
Note that late registration attracts a fine of GH20.00 a day and this will take effect from the 8^th of February 2018

ELECTION OF PRO-VICE-CHANCELLOR

The Ag. Vice-Chancellor has nominated the following persons to be voted on by Convocation in accordance with statute 7 (b) of the University statutes:

Prof. Yaw Ameyaw - Director, Quality Assurance Directorate
Prof. Victor Antwi - Head, Department of Physics Education
Prof. Francis Owusu-Mensah - Director, Institute for Distance and e-Learning

The Centre for International Programmes of the University of Education, Winneba is organizing a Workshop on Internationalisation as follows:

The term of office of the 4 Convocation representatives on Council will come to an end in February 2018. Section 8 (i) of the University of Education Act (672) provides that: “Every member of the Council except the Vice-Chancellor and Principals shall hold office for a period of two years and is eligible for re-appointment”. As a result 4 vacancies have been created in the Convocation slots on Council. Elections will therefore be organized on all Campuses.

As part of activities to mark this celebration, we invite graduate students, scholars and researchers to participate in an academic colloquium on the broad theme of Communication and Media Studies Education. Renewal of Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship Fund (2017/2018 Academic Year)

The following students have met the requisite conditions set in the VCSF Operational Manual for renewing the VCSF scholarship.
