Msc. in Information Technology Education introduced at the University of Education, Winneba (Kumasi Campus)

Applications are invited from qualified applicants for admission into Msc. in Information Technology Education, a newly introduced Postgraduate Sandwich/Weekend programme at the University of Education, Winneba (Kumasi Campus) for the 2017/2018 Academic year.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR MSC IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION

i. A good Bachelor’s Degree (2^nd Class Lower Division or better) in Information Technology Education (ITE), Information Technology (IT).

2018 Entrance Examinations and/or Interviews (Regular Session)

Prospective and Invited Applicants for admission into regular programmes in the University of Education, Winneba are hereby informed that the 2018 Entrance Examinations and/or Interviews have been scheduled as follows:

a) Subject Area Test (SAT) for Special Education Candidates:

April 12, 2018 - 3:00pm – 5:00pm

b) Subject Area Test (SAT) for all Mature Candidates including Special Education Candidates:

Survey on Self-Registration Exercise for 2017/2018 2nd Semester

In an effort to improve on the registration process, a survey is being conducted by the Students Records Office to elicit your views on the just ended self-registration process. It has become necessary as the SRO would like to identify the various challenges faced and ensure that they are worked upon. Your answers are important in aiding us improve upon the service we provide.

Re-opening of 2017/2018 1st Semester Registration for Level 400 Students (Winneba and Ajumako Campus)

Registration for the 2017/2018 1^st Semester for Level 400 students would be re-activated on the 1^st of March to the 3^rd of March 2018. It will be a self-registration exercise where students would be required to register by themselves through their Student Portals.

Distribution of UEW 2018 Diaries

Members of staff are kindly informed that the 2018 diaries have been supplied. Representatives from various Departments and Offices are to go to UEW stores (South Campus) with the list sent to them to pick copies for their staff members.

STATEMENT OF THE UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, WINNEBA GOVERNING COUNCIL ON ITS FACT FINDING COMMITTEE REPORT

The UEW Governing Council on Thursday 22^nd February, 2018 received the Final Report of the Fact Finding Committee set up at its instance.

POSTPONEMENT OF ELECTION OF PRO-VICE-CHANCELLOR

We wish to inform the university community that the University has been served with a writ of summons by interested parties seeking other reliefs including an injunction on the appointment of a new Pro-Vice-Chancellor. The interested parties are Dr. Frimpong Kaakyire Duku, Prof Mawutor Avoke, Dr. Theophilus Ackorlie, Mr. Frank Boateng, Miss Mary Dzimey and Ing. Daniel Tetteh.

Council has therefore, directed that the election of Pro-Vice-Chancellor, scheduled for Monday, February 26, 2018 be postponed until further notice.
