Vertical Tabs Programme Description Programme Description Aims and Objectives of the programme are • To inculcate in its students the requisite knowledge and practical skills for the challenging demands of theatre • To expose students to global trends in theatre and related fields • To enable students take up leadership roles in the theatre and film industries. • To train students to use theatre as a medium in promoting development in rural communities with indigenous local resources. • To prepare students in promoting cultural activities in schools and communities. • To encourage students become aware of their identity and their sense of patriotism. Mode of study: SandwichDepartment: Theatre Arts Entry Requirement Entry Requirement: Entry Requirements: to qualify to undertake the Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts programme in the Department of Theatre Arts prospective candidates would be expected to possess one of the following categories of entry requirements: Session: Full time SSSCE Candidates i) Passes (A - D) in English Language, Integrated Science and Mathematics. ii) Passes (A – D) in two (2) elective subjects A credit in Literature in English will be an advantage. WASSCE Candidates Passes (A1 – D7) in English Language, Integrated Science and Mathematics. Passes (A1 – D7) in two (2) elective subjects. A credit in Literature in English will be an advantage. c) Mature Candidates i) Applicants must be at least 25 years by August 1 of the academic year s/he wants to enrol; and Candidate must possess FIVE (5) SSSCE/WASSCE credits or GCE passes including English Language and Mathematics and three elective subjects. Two (2) Core subjects (English Language and Mathematics) and credits in three (3) elective subjects at SSSCE/WASSCE (Grade of D7 or better). A credit in Literature in English will be an advantage.
