Members of the Governing Council of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) have hit the road running soon after their inauguration, tasking themselves to touring the various satellite campuses of the University to seek first-hand information on the state of affairs there.
Thursday 12th October, 2017 witnessed the first workshop for the academic year (2017/18) held for staff and service personnel of the Department of Media Relations of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) at the Finance Conference Room, North campus. The workshop was held under the theme "Improving performance of Staff at the Workplace"

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW), emerged as winners of the Western Zone maiden Inter-University electronic Constitution quiz competition organised by the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) in Cape Coast on the 9th of October, 2017.
They bagged 445 points to beat the University of Cape Coast (UCC) who came second with 303 points, followed by Takoradi Technical University with 25 points in a keenly contested event held on Monday.

The first batch of 10 University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) students have just rounded up a two-week internship at the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) thanks to the agreement on International Students Internship between the UESTC and UEW. The agreement was signed in 2016 and it is expected to last for three years but could be extended further if desired by both universities.
The College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has graduated the first batch of 148 beneficiaries of the Competency-Based Training (CBT) programme recently introduced at COLTEK through the collaboration of the Government of Ghana (GoG), African Development Bank (AfDB), Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (COTVET) and the UEW.
