A three (3) day workshop has been organized by the University of Education Winneba from Monday 4th June to Wednesday 6th June, 2018 for newly elected student-leaders from all the halls of the University.
The Division of Human Resources (HR) organised a workshop for the staff of the University Farm to educate them on guidelines for taking care of farm animals. The workshop was organised under the theme “Basic Care and Treatment of Farm Animals” and was held at the University Farm on Wednesday the 6th of June 2018.
The Department of Basic Education from Monday, 4th to Thursday, 7th June, 2018 held a four day non-residential workshop for staff at the Windy Lodge Beach Resort in Winneba.

Human rights organisation, Amnesty International Ghana has retracted an earlier statement in which the management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) was accused of abusing the rights of some staff and students of the institution.
The Acting Principal of the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK), Prof. Frederick K. Sarfo has encouraged staff to take exceptional pride in the work they do in the University of Education Winneba (UEW). “No job in this University is ignoble. Whatever each of us does is critical to our survival as a University, so I appeal to you to work with enthusiasm and devotion”, he said.
The mortal remains of the former Principal of the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) of University of Education Winneba (UEW), Prof. (Ing.) Reynolds Okai was interred, last Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the family cemetery in Nkurakan near Koforidua in the Eastern Region.
Hundreds of individuals from across the country and representatives of various institutions joined the late Professor’s family and UEW to honour the deceased with a fitting burial at Nkurakan and final funeral rites at the Koforidua Technical University (KTU).
Paabadu Construction Limited on Wednesday, 30th May, 2018 handed over the keys of a Lecture Block to Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) at the Central Campus, Winneba.
The project which was initiated by UEW to increase its Offices and Lecture Halls was funded by GetFund and constructed by Paabadu Construction Limited.
The Human Resource Division of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) in collaboration with the Work and Physical Development office (UEW) on 16th May, 2018 organised a workshop for all Artisans in all sections of the University. The event was aimed at educating these individuals on two most important ways of effective service delivery; Effective Working Skill and Service Delivery, Time Management, its Meaning and Importance.
As part of its end of second semester activities, the Department of Home Economics Education organised its annual exhibition and fashion show. The exhibition and fashion show took place on 16th May, 2018 at the Forecourt of the Department of Home Economics.
The show which is done every academic year involved level 400 and 300 students of the Department. It is to showcase the knowledge and skills the students have acquired from the training they were exposed to.
