Gender Interventions Impel Females to Leadership – Prof. Nsoh

The Principal of the College of Languages Education of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Ajumako Campus, Professor Avea Ephraim Nsoh has said that the emergence of Gender Mainstreaming Directorate at the College has been helpful in propelling more women to leadership positions at the University.

He said his vision to have the unit at the College was essentially to help involve more women in the affairs of the university, adding that; he was happy to have achieved that dream.

Interdenominational/Valedictory Church Service

The University of Education, Winneba wishes to invite staff, students and the University community to a Matriculation thanksgiving and Valedictory church service.

The service is to begin the first semester 2017/18 academic year and also to thank God for the successful tenure of Dr. Christopher Y.  Akwaa-Mensah as the outgone Registrar of the University.

UEW Holds Workshop for Business Owners in Winneba

As part of efforts to bridge the gap between the University and the community, the Procurement Department in collaboration with the Division of Human Resource has held a workshop for all business owners in the Effutu Municipality. The event, which was held on 4th October, 2017 at the JN Aryeetey Auditorium sought to educate the business community on opportunities in the University they could access.

Media Relations Department holds Workshop for Staff and Service Personnel

Thursday 12th October, 2017 witnessed the first workshop for the academic year (2017/18) held for staff and service personnel of the Department of Media Relations of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) at the Finance Conference Room, North campus. The workshop was held under the theme "Improving performance of Staff at the Workplace" 

UEW wins maiden Inter-University Constitution quiz competition


The University of Education, Winneba (UEW), emerged as winners of the Western Zone maiden Inter-University electronic Constitution quiz competition organised by the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) in Cape Coast on the 9th of October, 2017.

They bagged 445 points to beat the University of Cape Coast (UCC) who came second with 303 points, followed by Takoradi Technical University with 25 points in a keenly contested event held on Monday.
