SEMINAR ON TERTIARY EDUCATION AND JOB OPPORTUNITIES

 

As part of the Depatmental week celebration, the Students Association of the Department of Political Science Education organised a seminar on the topic " TERTIARY EDUCATION AND JOB OPPORTUNITIES" which was held at the JOPHUS ANAMOAH MENSAH CONFERENCE CENTER on 23rd, march 2017.

The topic was presented by Dr. Emmanuel Carsamer and E.T. Amanor-Lartey. The manager of Capital Bank Limited - Winneba Branch was present to advice the students on the important of savings and investment to their future development.

About Us

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), established in 2008 as an academic department in the University of Education, Winneba (UEW). The Department is now separated with the following divisions: Academic and Technical units respectively. It has a staff strength of eleven(11) faculty members, one (1) system analyst, two (2) instructional facilitators, and five (5) technical support staff.

Gender Mainstreaming Directorate

BACKGROUND

The Gender Mainstreaming Directorate was set in support of effort to promote gender equity at various levels of the educational arena in Ghana and to ensure that gender gains the need focus in various university activity.

VISION

The Gender Mainstreaming Directorate shall be recorgnized internationally as an icon in Gender Mainstreaming in higher education.

UEW RESEARCH, INNOVATION AND STAFF DEVELOPMENT FUND (RISDF) - CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The Management Board of the UEW Research, Innovation and Staff Development Fund (RISDF) invites proposals from UEW Senior Members who wish to access the Research Grant.

Eligibility

The Research Grant is designed to promote collaborative and multi-disciplinary research. To qualify for aresearch grant, beneficiaries must meet the following requirements:

UEW – Vodafone Foundation Awards Ten Scholarships to Promote Science Education

The Vodafone Ghana Foundation in partnership with the Gender Mainstreaming Directorate of the University of Education, Winneba has awarded scholarships to 10 Female Students pursueing various Science, Mathematics and Technology related programmes in UEW.

The Ceremony was held on 25th April, 2017 and witnessed by Staff of the Gender Mainstreaming Directorate, Vodafone Ghana Foundation, British Council, Heads of Departments and other Staff of UEW.
